Kyla's Choice [Brothers Bound 4] (Siren Publishing Allure) Page 11

Rick slumped, head resting on her tummy. “Are you pregnant, Kyla?”

  “Yes,” she grumbled.

He kissed her tummy. “I love your mommy. I can’t wait to meet you. Please don’t make her get sick anymore,” he whispered.

Kyla teared up. Her hands buried in his hair and she pulled his head up. “How long did you know?” she whispered.

He shrugged. “When you changed your pill, you missed your period. I thought maybe that was just your body being all girly or something. I used the same excuse on the second month.” He caressed her breasts. “Last month you missed again. You should have one next week. I’m assuming you’re not.” He kissed her breasts. “These are a handful now.” He caressed her hips. “These already seem wider. No I’m not saying you’re fat. I know your body, Kyla. I love your body, worship it.” He kissed her hips. “Three months?” he asked.

She shrugged. “I have a doctor’s appointment next week.”

  He nodded. “Can I come?”

Her heart melted. “You want to come?”

Rick chuckled. “Lady, I want to come every day with you.” He chuckled then gazed at her in all seriousness. “Yes, I want to know everything. I want to be a part of this.”

Kyla studied his eyes. “Are you asking me to marry you because of this?”

He shook his head. “No I had to wait for Paul, Mark, and Hillary to get back before I could ask. They picked it up for me.”

Kyla’s eyes widened. “Serious it’s from Paris!”

He laughed. “Yes. You’re not getting that car you wanted. Not from me any way.” The cost of her beautiful ring had set him back a bit, but he figured she’d want that more than a car. Hers was good. If they were smart about finances the next couple of years then they could look into getting something new for her.

Kyla giggled. “You’re not mad?” she asked.

He shook his head. “I am but not at you… I never thought of this ever happening. I knew I wanted to marry you and be with you forever, but, babies and titles and how does he or she refer to Jared—”

  “Grandpa,” she answered quickly.

  Rick raised his brow. “What?”

Kyla giggled. “Are you kidding me? Bad enough I have to play friend with Mom. I am not taking the title Grandma from her. Your parents will also be Grandma and Grandpa. Uncles will be uncles.”

Rick released a relieved breath. “Thank God you have it figured out.”

Kyla snorted. “You have no idea how hard it’s been trying to figure that out. Anne got so confused.”

Rick shot her a look. “Your little sister knew before I did.”

Kyla shook her head. “No she was asking me what would happen if we ever did have a baby,” she uttered. “You think I would tell Anne before you! God, Rick, I’ve been sitting here freaking out for like a month now! Wanting to talk to Mom about it but then thinking she would tell Dad, he would tell you, and then you would be mad.” Rick held up a hand. Kyla stopped, mouth gaping open.

“For one, anything you tell your mom and dad never comes back to me until I hear it from you. Jared does not tell me what you tell her.” Kyla slumped. Rick hugged her close. “Kyla, it’s not supposed to be this complicated. Good God, we’re having a baby!” He kissed her on the lips. “I hope she looks like you,” he declared.

Kyla giggled. “He’ll look like you,” she declared right back.

“I love you, Kyla. I love that we’re having a baby and I’m really sorry to rush you but my palms are actually sweating and I would like an answer.” He rushed the last part.

Kyla tried real hard not to cry. She nodded. “Of course I’ll wear your pretty ring. Although I’m starting to think you should send it back. I hear babies cost a fortune.”

Rick snorted, slipping the ring on her. “Not returning that, ever,” he declared, kissing her.

Kyla groaned and hugged him close. “I love you,” she whispered.

  He grinned. “I know.”

  THE END

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I am the proud mother of a beautiful tween and handsome teen. I started dabbling in writing at a young age. My first story was a twisted story about bunny rabbits and a little girl in a mystical forest, an evil mother who wanted nothing more than rabbit stew. (I was eight) My older sister introduced me to romance novels at the tender age of eleven and I've loved them since. I picked up my first Erotica in my thirties… WOW! Inspiring.

I find being able to create a world of wonderful characters an amazing achievement. I had always figured historical romance was where my heart laid, but after reading a few BDSM and erotica e-books. My mind was changed and I have never felt so comfortable in my life than in being able to create wonderful people and bring them together with a little spank and tickle.

I love Sci-fi and Zombies! Horror flicks and nightmares are a normal for me. I once had a dream about rainbows and sunshine and unicorns and lovey dovey stuff and that scared the hell out of me. Happy dreams are not normal for me. I love music, anything from Never Ending White Lights, White Stripes to Lana Del Ray maybe some Waylon Jennings. I am all over the place in the music.
